Welcome to NancyLivingstone.ca!
I have always been drawn to the past – to tradition, my ancestors, self-sufficiency, life in ‘the old days’. When I was young, I devoured the Little House on the Prairie books by Laura Ingalls Wilder. I was so drawn to how her family lived and survived as pioneers in the American West. I drove my mom crazy with my interest in our Lithuanian ancestors.
As an adult, I enjoy visiting old cemeteries, buildings and gardens in the cities I find myself in. I imagine the people behind the names, the activities inside the walls, and admire the plants behind the borders. I try to imagine the stories these spaces hold and the people behind those stories.
My goal is to make NancyLivingstone.ca a place to share stories that connect people. To show how much more alike we are than different. How to see the special in the ordinary. I hope you’ll join me.
